Commenting Guidelines

Here is an excellent video of some students explaining how to make a quality comment on a blog!

Commenting on Blogs – Checklist
Please review each of the following before submitting a comment to another blog, whether it is a classmate or someone else. It would also be a good idea to have a blog partner review your work before posting.
Ask yourself:
§ Are the comments I made constructive, but not hurtful?
Ask yourself:
§ Have I considered the author of the post and their purpose?
Ask yourself:
§ Are my comments related to the content of the post?
Ask yourself:
§ Have I included a personal connection to what the author wrote?
Ask yourself:
§ If the post asks a question, have I answered it?
Ask yourself:
§ If I have a question about the post in order to learn more from the author, have I asked it in a positive way?
Ask yourself:
§ Would I want this comment to be graded for proper grammar and spelling? Once you submit a comment, it cannot be changed.
